The horseshoe shaped bar is the ideal place to meet a wide variety of international travellers although there are also tables and chairs under the pergola if you want a more intimate setting. The Pergola Bar, run by the ever-cheerful Mr Hani and his amazing team of friendly bar staff, is my personal favourite. There is always plenty of hot water, although you might have to wait a while for it to run through the pipes. I have no problems leaving my Kindle, phone, and pods on display in my room, knowing that they will be safe. I have always found the cleaners to be very trustworthy, honest and helpful. My room was spotlessly clean and towels and linen are changed regularly. I had contacted Mr Mohamed Qanaan, an assistant Front Office manager, before my visit, to ask for my favourite room, and although there is obviously no guarantee, he always does his best to help and gives excellent customer service. Check-in took about 3 minutes and was very simple and easy.
I have visited the Grand Resort many times and have never had problems there. Having read some of the negative reviews on this site, I believe that I must be living in an alternate universe.
